My "micro sculpture", wire contemporary jewelry, evolved from many years of designing large-scale sculptures, as I studied sculpture at the University of Fine Arts in Athens, Greece.
My work is characterized by a creative relationship with the material I work with, which is no other than the colored copper, solid silver, 14k, and 18k solid gold wire.
Each piece of handcrafted art jewelry is unique - impossible to reproduce exactly - truly one of a kind.
My jewelry is signed and shipped nice gift wrapped in handmade or plexiglass boxes in bags made of recycled paper.
Colored wire is a hypoallergenic material. Highly resistant to soap, water, turpentine, and liquid for polishing silverware which I actually use to make the colors shine. I have put this material on the test for many years!
I have partnered with museums, (Benaki Museum in Athens, the Teloglion Arts Foundation in Thessaloniki) galleries, and shops. I maintained my own shop from 2000 to 2002 in Ithaca and from 2004 to 2011 in downtown Athens, showcasing exclusively my creations.Many of jewelry are convertible. Bracelets-Necklaces, Brooches- necklaces, and vice versa.
